Afimico Pululu is being linked with a surprise Ekstraklasa switch from champions Jagiellonia Bialystok to Widzew Lodz, with Polish reports suggesting the move is under consideration but far from certain.
The 26-year-old centre-forward, listed with a market value of €4.00m, is the subject of growing speculation ahead of the next transfer window, with Transfermarkt marking the probability of a deal only as “?”. There is also no publicly listed contract expiry date at Jagiellonia, leaving open the possibility that he could move for a fee or eventually become a free agent if no agreement is reached.
Pululu has rebuilt his reputation in Poland after joining Jagiellonia from German side Greuther Fürth in 2023. His value has climbed sharply during his time in Bialystok, rising from €700,000 in late 2023 to a peak of €5m in April 2025 before settling at €4m in December. That trajectory is likely to influence any negotiations, with Jagiellonia aware they possess one of the more valuable attacking assets in the Ekstraklasa.
Born in Luanda on 23 March 1999, Pululu holds DR Congo and French nationality and operates primarily as a centre-forward, preferring his left foot. He wears the number 10 shirt for Jagiellonia and has previously featured in Switzerland’s Super League with FC Basel and Neuchâtel Xamax, as well as in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga with Greuther Fürth, giving him experience across several European leagues.
There is no indication yet of a firm bid from Widzew Lodz, nor of personal terms or contract length being discussed, and neither club has disclosed any financial framework for a potential deal.
If Widzew do decide to press ahead, a move could offer Pululu a fresh focal role in another Ekstraklasa side and mark the next step in a career that has steadily climbed from youth football at Basel to top-flight prominence in Poland.
