Burkina Faso’s U17 national team has received a significant financial boost as they continue preparations for the upcoming AFCON U17 tournament in Morocco.
The Cadet Stallions, under the guidance of head coach Oscar Baro, recently concluded a productive training camp in Mali, where they recorded a victory and a draw against Mali’s U17 side, the Aiglonnets.
The team’s preparations have now been further bolstered by a donation of 35 million CFA francs from a mobile phone operator.
The financial support is expected to enhance the team’s preparation conditions, enabling the young Burkinabe squad to focus on fine-tuning their performance ahead of the continental competition.
The backing comes at a crucial moment as the team looks to approach the tournament with greater confidence.
“This donation is a vital contribution to our preparation. It will allow us to ensure better working conditions for the players and the technical staff,” a team representative stated.
With the additional resources, the Stallions will be able to finalize their training and travel plans to Morocco under optimal conditions, carrying the hopes of Burkina Faso on the African stage.
The AFCON U17 tournament will provide a platform for the country’s emerging football talents to showcase their abilities and compete against the best youth teams on the continent.
