U17 AFCON Final Lineup Set to be Decided as Mali Faces Guinea in Semifinal

The lineup for the final of the 2015 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger will be determined on Thursday, as Mali faces Guinea in the second semifinal at the Seyni Kountché Stadium in Niamey. Both teams are aiming for a spot in the final and are determined to secure the ultimate title.

Mali has been one of the standout teams of the tournament, dominating the group stage with impressive performances. In Group B, the Aiglons opened with a 3-1 victory over Cameroon, followed by a 2-2 draw with South Africa, and a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast, the reigning African champions. Coach Baye Ba’s side has been propelled by the attacking prowess of Boubacar Traoré, who is tied as the tournament’s top scorer with three goals.

Guinea has also shown strong form, finishing second in their group behind Nigeria with five points. Under the guidance of coach Hamidou Camara, Guinea boasts a solid defensive unit, with Sam Diallo emerging as a key attacking threat.

Both teams have already secured their places at the U17 World Cup, and now they are determined to book their place in the final to challenge for the continental title. Mali and Guinea will face off with hopes of joining South Africa, who secured their spot in the final on Wednesday with a 1-0 victory over Nigeria.
