Head coach of DR Congo, Sebastien Desabre, says his outfit will give everything possible to overcome Algeria in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a high-stale clash on Tuesday, the Leopards of DR Congo will battle it out with the Desert Foxes of Algeria at Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with both teams seeking for victory to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the continental showpiece.
And according to Desabre, his side is poised to give everything to beat Algeria in their quest to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
“We had a 5-day break which helped us recover and prepare for the Algeria match in a new phase during the Africa Cup of Nations matches.”
“We are playing against a strong team and we hope to improve. We have experience in managing such matches and we know how to deal with pressure,” he stressed.
“We are focused on our path and style of play, and we have a plan that we aim to implement on the field tomorrow.”
“We will give everything possible against Algeria to secure our place in the quarter-finals. We have the necessary weapons to get through that stage of the tournament and our goal is to qualify against Algeria.”
“There are many strengths in the Algerian national team. They have outstanding players, they are a very good team, and they can change the system of play.” He concluded.
The winner of the match will face the winner between Nigeria and Mozambique in the quarterfinals.
