Senegal star Sadio Mané has been named the Best Player of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after leading his side to a 1-0 victory over hosts Morocco in the final at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat.
The Al Nassr forward played a pivotal role throughout the tournament, showcasing leadership, consistency and an ability to influence games at crucial moments.
While he may not have been the top scorer, Mané’s presence was felt in every phase of Senegal’s play—driving attacks, controlling the tempo, and inspiring teammates with his work rate and composure.
His performance in the final and across the campaign underlined his status as one of Africa’s most accomplished footballers, as he helped steer the Teranga Lions to their second AFCON title.
With the award, Mané now joins an elite group of players who have won the AFCON title twice, further cementing his legacy on the continent.
