Ivory Coast winger Bazoumana Toure says his outfit ultimate objective is to win all matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as the team gears up for the Egypt showdown.
The Elephants swept aside Burkina Faso with a clean 3-0 victory in the last 16 clash on Tuesday, setting up a fiery quarter-final clash with the Pharaohs on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
It promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams seeking for victory to secure a place in the semifinals of the continental showpiece.
“The coach asked us to play aggressively against Burkina Faso from the start in order to win the match, and we did that well.” he told reporters.
“Facing Egypt? We are not afraid of any team. We work on ourselves and focus only on our performance, and our goal is to win all matches.”
The high-stake clash between Ivory Coast and Egypt has been scheduled to take place at the the Adrar Stadium in the Moroccan city of Agadir.
Toure, who plies his trade for Hoffenheim is expected to play a huge role for Ivory Coast as they seeks to overcome Egypt to book a place in the semifinals.
