Former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles can overcome hosts Morocco in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semifinal.
Nigeria secured their spot in the last four with a 2-0 victory over Algeria, while Morocco dispatched Cameroon by the same scoreline.
Speaking to Kooora, Ighalo predicted a 2-1 win for the Super Eagles.
“I expect Nigeria to beat Morocco with a score of (2-1),” he said.
In the tournament’s other semifinal, Egypt will take on Senegal.
Ighalo suggested the match could end in a 2-2 draw, with Senegal prevailing on penalties, or a 2-1 victory for the Teranga Lions.
“As for the other match, I expect it to end (2-2) and Senegal to win on penalties, or Senegal to win with a score of (2-1),” he added.
Kickoff times are set for 17:00 GMT for Egypt versus Senegal and 20:00 GMT for Morocco against Nigeria.
