Nigeria are scheduled to depart Cairo, Egypt, for Fez, Morocco, on Thursday, December 18, 2025 ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The Super Eagles opened camp in Cairo last Sunday to fine-tune preparations for the continental showpiece in the North African country.

Having wrapped up preparations on Wednesday, the Super Eagles are expected to travel to Morocco on Thursday afternoon for the tournament, bringing their brief but intense pre-AFCON camp in Egypt to an end.

The stay included a high-profile friendly match against the seven-time African champions, which served as a key test ahead of the tournament. At the moment, Nigeria has full house following the arrival of star striker Victor Osimhen in camp.

Nigeria will be based in Fez for the group stage of AFCON 2025. The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group C, where they will face Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. All of Nigeria’s group matches will be played at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

The Super Eagles will begin their AFCON 2025 campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday, 23 December, before taking on Tunisia on 27 December and rounding off the group stage against Uganda on 30 December.
