Egyptian international Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” is concerned about the lack of a large turnout of Moroccan fans at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Zizo, who plies his trade for Al Ahly in Egypt appears not to be impressed with the turnout during their round of 16 clash against Benin.
However, the enterprising attacker has promised to purchase free tickets for Moroccan football fans to boost AFCON patronage as the Pharaohs gears up for the quarterfinals this weekend.
Egypt prevailed in the round of 16, defeating Benin 3-1 after extra-time in the high competitive clash on Monday at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir.
“I wished there had been a larger Moroccan audience at the Benin match, and I know the reason for their attendance is that tickets are now being sold and are no longer distributed for free.”
“I will take the initiative to buy free tickets for the Moroccan public in Egypt’s upcoming matches to encourage us.” Zizo told MBC Egypt 2.
Egypt will play in the quarter-finals next Saturday against the winner of Ivory Coast vs. Burkina Faso.
