Cameroon forward Christian Kofane insists his outfit is not afraid of Moroccan fans pressure ahead of the crucial quarterfinals showdown at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nation.
The Indomitable Lions takes on the Atlas Lions in a high-stake clash at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Friday, January 9, 2026, with both teams seeking for victory to secure a place in the semifinals.
Cameroon triumphed over South Africa in the last 16 to secure a place in the quarterfinals, while Morocco narrowly defeated Tanzanian to book a place in the last 8 of the tournament.
“I play in the German league with Bayer Leverkusen and I think Borussia Dortmund has more fans than Morocco does.”
“Therefore, we are not afraid of the pressure from the Moroccan fans in the quarter-final match. We are calm, we are working hard, and we will put into practice what we have been practicing all week, and we will see what happens.”
The Cameroonian national team qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating South Africa.
Meanwhile, Morocco advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Tanzania.
The winner of the Morocco-Cameroon match will play the semi-final against the winner of the Algeria-Nigeria match next Wednesday.
