Adam Masina earned the highest rating in Morocco’s 2-0 AFCON 2025 quarter-final victory over Cameroon, with Sofascore awarding the left-back a 7.6 for his strong defensive display and tactical discipline.
His positioning, timing in the tackle, and several key interventions were highlighted as crucial over the 90 minutes.
Just behind him were the lively winger Abde Ezzalzouli and clinical forward Ismail Saibari, who both received 7.5 after influential performances in attack, while centre-back Nayef Aguerd followed closely with a 7.4 thanks to his composure and leadership at the back.
On the other end of the scale, striker Ayoub El Kaabi received the lowest rating in the Moroccan side with 5.7, reflecting a quiet outing in which he struggled for his usual effectiveness in front of goal. His main positive contribution came in the 26th minute, when his glancing header from a corner set up Brahim Diaz’s opener.
The match finished 2-0 to the Atlas Lions, securing Morocco’s place in the semi-finals of the continental showpiece and keeping their dream of lifting the trophy on home soil very much alive.
