The Charles Konan Banny stadium, where the stands were filled to just over two-thirds of capacity, the fervent Guinean supporters outshone their Cameroonian counterparts, delivering a masterclass in mobilization and creating an electrifying atmosphere.

While both Cameroon and Guinea share the same flag colors of green, red, and yellow, the visual spectacle in the stadium presented a stark contrast.

The Guinean supporters, donning their national colors in the order of red, yellow, and green, dominated the visual landscape.

A small contingent of Cameroonian supporters could be spotted behind the Guinean goals during the first period, accompanied by a group of approximately fifteen influencers affiliated with La Tribune media.

However, their presence appeared minuscule in comparison to the overwhelming Guinean wave that engulfed the stadium.

In the realm of chants and songs, the Cameroonian contingent seemed virtually non-existent.

The resounding sounds echoing through the stadium were unequivocally Guinean. Even the early setback suffered by the Cameroon team with a goal conceded in the 10th minute failed to shift the balance in the supporters’ duel.

While the overall ambiance at the Charles Konan Banny stadium was commendable and above average, the Cameroonian faction’s mobilization fell short of expectations.

The Guinean supporters, with their spirited presence and vocal enthusiasm, left an indelible mark on the match, creating an atmosphere that was a testament to the passionate spirit of AFCON 2023.
