Congo Names 35-Man Provisional Squad for Crucial AFCON Qualifiers

Congo is gearing up for its final push in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with head coach Claude Leroy announcing a preliminary 35-man squad ahead of decisive fixtures against Nigeria and Sudan.

The Red Devils are currently regrouping, with local players already in training since Tuesday. A number of new and returning faces highlight the list, including Brice Samba (Olympique de Marseille) and Dominique Malonga (Hibernian), who have been called up before but never joined the squad. Meanwhile, Christopher Maboulou is notably absent, while Delarge Dzon, Chris Malonga, Ulrich Kapolongo, and Fabrice Nguessi Ondama have been recalled by Leroy.
