Dussuyer Names Guinea Squad for Crucial AFCON Qualifiers Against Togo and Uganda
Guinea head coach Michel Dussuyer has announced his 23-man squad for the decisive final rounds of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The Syli Nationale are set to face Togo in Lomé on 15 November before hosting Uganda in Morocco four days later.
Among the key returns to the squad are defenders Kamil Zayatte (Sheffield Wednesday) and Baissama Sankoh (Guingamp), both of whom missed the previous fixtures against Ghana. Dussuyer has also included attacking talents such as Lamine Yattara (Lyon) and Ibrahima Traoré (Borussia Mönchengladbach), offering a strong offensive arsenal for the must-win matches.
Despite ongoing challenges—particularly Guinea’s inability to host matches at home due to the Ebola crisis—the team will prepare for the final qualifiers in Benin, with sights firmly set on securing a place in the continental showpiece.

Currently third in their group, Guinea must secure strong results in their final two fixtures to qualify for the 2015 tournament in Morocco. The return of several experienced players and the inclusion of young stars like Naby Keïta provide Dussuyer with a well-balanced squad.
The match against Togo in Lomé will be a stern test, but the showdown against Uganda—moved to neutral ground in Morocco—may ultimately prove decisive.
