Ademoloa Lookman urges Atalanta teammates to keep working hard after Frankfurt victory

Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman has charged his Atalanta teammates to keep working hard after their 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League.

The Super Eagles sensation scored and provided an assist during the match to help the Italian outfit secure the important victory on Wednesday night.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Lookman described the victory as an important one, adding that he hopes it will give Atalanta confidence heading into upcoming Serie A matches.

“I think it’s important right now to get the victory, as 3-0 away from home is a really good result,” Lookman told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

He added, “Obviously, it’s very free and easy playing with Scamacca and De Ketelaere, because they are quality players. We just have to keep on working and improving as a team, we take this performance and hope to carry it on in the league.”

Lookman’s impressive form in the game against Atalanta is good for Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The forward is expected to make the final Super Eagles squad that will go to Morocco for the AFCON next month.
