Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been shortlisted for the prestigious Serie A Forward of the Year award at the Gran Gala del Calcio, recognizing his stellar contributions to Italian football.
Lookman will face stiff competition for the title, contending with Rafael Leao of AC Milan, and Inter Milan duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
The Nigerian international enjoyed a remarkable 2022/23 campaign, netting 17 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions for Atalanta.
This season, he has maintained his form with eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances.
Atalanta’s head coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the club itself are also nominated for Coach of the Year and Club of the Year, respectively, underscoring the team’s overall impact in Serie A.
The winners, determined through votes by members of the Italian Players’ Association (AIC), will be unveiled at a ceremony on December 2.
