Red Star Belgrade are being linked with a move for Malian right winger Adama Coulibaly from Sudanese side Al-Hilal.
The 20-year-old, who plays predominantly as a left-footed right winger, only left Malian club AS Bakaridjan for Al-Hilal Club (Omdurman) on 1 July 2024 for the 2024-25 campaign, but fresh reports on 5 March 2026 have placed him on the radar of the Serbian SuperLiga champions. The probability of a transfer has not been specified and is currently listed simply as “?”, underlining the early and speculative nature of the talks.
Coulibaly’s contract situation at Al-Hilal is unclear, with no official expiry date recorded, prompting suggestions he could become a free agent if no extension is agreed. That uncertainty has fuelled discussion that Red Star could attempt a low-cost deal or move swiftly should his contract be allowed to run down.
The Malian youngster, born on 19 January 2006 and standing at 1.79m tall, has been deployed mainly on the right of attack for Al-Hilal, cutting inside onto his stronger left foot. While his precise market value is currently listed as “None”, the absence of a defined figure has encouraged speculation that Red Star may view him as a relatively affordable developmental signing rather than a headline-grabbing marquee addition.
Coulibaly’s rapid rise from domestic football in Mali with AS Bakaridjan to one of Sudan’s most prominent clubs has marked him out as a player with notable potential. He wears the number 11 shirt at Al-Hilal and has already featured in competitive matches in the Sudanese top flight, including recent outings in 2026, though detailed statistical breakdowns remain limited.
If a move to Belgrade does materialise, it would represent a significant step into European football for the Malian winger and could prove a defining moment in shaping both his reputation and long-term career trajectory.
