Real Valladolid have confirmed the loan signing of young Moroccan international Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich.
The 18-year-old left-back will spend the remainder of the season at the Spanish club, bolstering their defensive options.
A statement released by Real Valladolid on Monday read, Real Valladolid has strengthened its defensive line by recruiting Adam Aznou Ben Cheikh (18 years old), following an agreement with Bayern Munich.
A product of Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, Aznou was born in the Catalan city and developed his skills at both Damm and FC Barcelona before moving to Bayern Munich in 2022.
The young defender made his professional debut this season with the German giants, featuring in two Bundesliga matches and one Champions League game.
A player highly regarded for his potential, Aznou was also called up by Morocco’s national team coach for a recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, confirming his commitment to the Atlas Lions.
Aznou joins Real Valladolid under the management of Diego Cocca, where he will aim to further his development in Spain’s La Liga.
In the youth ranks, Aznou played alongside a number of notable talents, including Lamine Yamal, Hector Fort, Pau Prim, and Marc Guiu at Barcelona.

Real Valladolid are set to officially present Aznou alongside Joseph Aidoo, another new signing, during a press conference on Wednesday.
The club will be hoping that the young left-back can make an immediate impact as they seek to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.
