Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has taken a break from his football commitments, sharing a rare, low-profile visit to his hometown of Casablanca, Morocco, with his fans on social media.
The right-back, who has been performing consistently for PSG, posted a series of images and videos showcasing his time in the city while the club is not in action this week, as there are no Champions League fixtures.
Hakimi, who has earned widespread admiration for his performances on the pitch, seemed to embrace a more relaxed pace during his visit, enjoying the simplicity of his surroundings.
Posing in front of Casablanca’s iconic red taxis, the Moroccan international shared his stroll through the streets of the city, adding a personal touch to his usual professional image. At one point, he was seen in “Dar Beyda,” the historic medina, with his brother.
A video posted online showed Hakimi spending time with his family, including his sister, as they toured the old city. Moving through the busy streets, Hakimi kept a low profile, shopping in the small, traditional stores known as “hanouts.”

The clip also captured the player interacting with fans, signing jerseys and posing for photos. Accompanying the images, Hakimi wrote, “The country is born,” reflecting the deep connection he has to his Moroccan heritage.
Although Hakimi was born in Madrid, Spain, he has always maintained strong ties to Morocco, where he has invested his time and efforts into several charitable causes.
On Tuesday, he launched an initiative focused on integrating young people with disabilities into society through the power of sport.
The program highlights his ongoing commitment to social change and improving the lives of others, particularly in his home country.
In addition to his charitable work, Hakimi is enjoying a successful season at PSG. Recently named the club’s Player of the Month for November by Le Parisien, the right-back has been a standout performer for the Parisian giants.
His impressive form on the field, along with his significant contributions for Morocco, led to his inclusion as one of the five finalists for the prestigious African Player of the Year award.
Hakimi, who has recently extended his contract with PSG until 2029, continues to thrive both on and off the field, showcasing his passion for the game and his country.
