Achraf Hakimi has no doubts about Ousmane Dembélé’s potential to claim football’s most prestigious individual honor.
The Moroccan full-back, when asked about the Paris Saint-Germain winger’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or, was clear in his belief.
“Yes, he is a player who is capable of that. He is a different player, the statistics speak for him. I hope he will continue like that, even if he has not yet arrived at his top, but I think he will get there.
“We see that at each match, he begins to grow, to score goals. Before, he did not score much, but now, he started to understand that he had to score more and give more assists. This is the most important when you play in front. We are happy because he does this now, he finds the right solutions.”
Dembélé has been in electric form, netting 26 goals and providing six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His numbers surpass his best season at Barcelona, reinforcing Hakimi’s confidence in his teammate’s rapid rise.
