AC Milan’s move for Nicolas Jackson gathers pace
AC Milan has formally made contact with the camp of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson as they look to bring the Senegal international to Serie A ahead of next season.
Reports from Italy claim the Rossoneri have made adding a mobile, hard-working No.9 their top priority and see the 24-year-old as an ideal fit for their frontline.
Jackson is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, where he has scored 10 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions, but the German side are not expected to activate their €65 million purchase option despite paying an initial €15 million to secure the loan. That stance opens the door for Milan, who are ready to test Chelsea’s resolve.
Chelsea would prefer a permanent sale rather than another loan and are believed to want around €60 million for Jackson. Milan are said to be confident they can reach an agreement, exploring a package built around a substantial fixed fee, performance-related bonuses and possibly player exchanges to get the transfer over the line.
