AC Milan target Moise Kean with player-plus-cash deal
AC Milan is reportedly moving forward to secure Moise Kean from Juventus, proposing a player-plus-cash swap that would send the struggling Santiago Giménez to Florence.
The Rossoneri hierarchy has prioritized the 26-year-old Kean for the 2026/27 season. Massimiliano Allegri, who returned to the Milan dugout in May 2025, is a primary driver behind the move.
Allegri previously coached the Italian international at Juventus and reportedly views him as the physical cornerstone needed to lead his attacking line.
To navigate the financial hurdles, Milan is offering Mexican forward Santiago Giménez along with a cash payment of €10 million to €15 million.
This structure is designed to help Milan bypass Kean’s release clause, which recently rose to €62 million following a contract extension through 2029 signed last August.
Despite the high valuation, Kean has managed 8 goals in 26 league appearances this season—a dip from his 25-goal haul the previous year.
The deal comes at a crossroads for both players. Giménez, who arrived at the San Siro with high expectations following a €32 million move from Feyenoord, has struggled to adapt to life in Serie A.
After suffering a serious ankle injury late in 2025 that required surgery, he has failed to score in 11 league appearances this term.
A move to Fiorentina is being viewed as a chance for the 24-year-old to reignite his career in a less pressurized environment.
External factors may also push Kean toward a departure. Fiorentina faces a likely exit from European competition after a devastating 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the first leg of their Conference League quarter-final.
Reports indicate that Kean is open to a move to the “fashion capital” should the Viola fail to secure a place on the continental stage next season.
