Italian giants AC Milan are ramping up efforts to sign highly-rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from French club Lille.
The 20-year-old, who was born in France, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1, making 24 appearances in the league and nine more in the UEFA Champions League.
He notably made headlines after starting Lille’s group-stage win over Real Madrid — on the day he turned 17.
Milan have been tracking Bouaddi’s progress and are now ready to accelerate their move for the dynamic midfielder.
Reports indicate that head coach Massimiliano Allegri is eager to bolster his midfield options, particularly following the departure of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City.
Seen as a player capable of delivering both immediate impact and long-term value, Bouaddi has emerged as a top target for the Rossoneri.
Sporting director Igli Tare is reportedly preparing to initiate talks with Lille, as Milan aim to secure a deal before other European heavyweights join the chase.
Bouaddi, who is under contract with Lille until 2027, began his football journey at AFC Creil before joining Lille’s academy in 2021.
He has since risen through the ranks, representing France at every youth level up to U21, and is widely considered one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
