Michael Essien arrived in Milan on Friday to sign an 18-month contract with the Italian club. Despite an agreement being reached between the parties, the contract signing was temporarily blocked due to concerns over Essien’s recurring knee problem. AC Milan officials are hesitant, and additional tests on his knee are scheduled for the coming Sunday.
