Filippo Inzaghi Set to Replace Clarence Seedorf at AC Milan
Clarence Seedorf’s time as AC Milan coach appears to be coming to an end, with Filippo Inzaghi lined up as his likely successor. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the former AC Milan striker is set to take over the managerial reins at the iconic Italian club, a decision reportedly backed by club president Silvio Berlusconi.
Inzaghi, who spent nearly 11 seasons at Milan from 2001 to 2012, made his mark as a player before retiring and moving into coaching. After his playing career ended, Inzaghi coached AC Milan’s U18s from 2012 to 2013 and later took charge of the U21s. His deep familiarity with the club and his coaching experience make him a strong candidate for the senior team.
On Monday afternoon, Inzaghi attended a meeting with the Milan management, and it is believed that the final decision was made at that time. The new coach is expected to be supported by long-time Milan figures Mauro Tassotti and Filippo Galli.
AC Milan is expected to soon officially announce the departure of Seedorf and confirm Inzaghi’s appointment as the new head coach, signaling a fresh chapter for the storied club.
