AC Milan commence contract extension talks with Raphael Leao
Italian giants AC Milan have opened contract extension talks with Portuguese attacker of Angolan descent, Raphael Leao.
According to sources in Italy, the Rossoneri have already begun preliminary talks over a renewal, signalling their firm belief in the 26-year-old’s long-term potential.
Leão’s current deal runs until June 2028, but Milan’s decision to start negotiations early highlights their commitment to keeping one of their brightest stars at San Siro.
Now in his fifth season with the club, Leão continues to show flashes of brilliance, even if consistency remains an area for improvement. Despite a slow start to the campaign, partly due to an injury suffered on his Coppa Italia debut against Bari.
The forward has still delivered crucial goals and performances that underline his importance to Milan’s attack.
The club’s faith in Leão remains unwavering, with Milan viewing him as central to their ambitions of reclaiming dominance in Serie A and returning to the top tier of European football.
Leão currently earns around €5 million net per season, and while renewal talks are still in the early stages, his future salary will likely reflect his performances and continued impact for the Rossoneri.
