Shabab Al-Aqaba has bolstered its squad with the signing of promising Togolese midfielder Aboubakar Abdoulahakim. The 22-year-old, joining from the Future Stars Agoè academy, is set to embark on his first professional experience abroad in the Jordanian Pro League. Abdoulahakim, affectionately nicknamed “the rock” for his defensive prowess, expressed his excitement and gratitude following his transfer in an interview with 228foot.

Speaking about his move, Abdoulahakim conveyed his enthusiasm for the new chapter in his career. “It is a great joy to leave a certain level to climb the ladder,” he said.

“It is only a first step, and I naturally consider myself happy and grateful to my trainers.”

Having emerged from the Togolese second division after a standout season with CDF Haknour, which saw his team crowned champions, Abdoulahakim is now focused on continuing his development at Shabab Al-Aqaba.

The young midfielder emphasized the importance of consistency and hard work as he transitions to a higher level of competition.

“The goal is to stay consistent and redouble our efforts. It is mandatory to progress in order to bring the best to my club and deserve the trust they have placed in me,” he added.

Abdoulahakim’s determination to establish himself at his new club is evident, and he appears ready to embrace the challenges of competing in the Jordanian Pro League.

Abdoulahakim is confident that he made the right decision in choosing Shabab Al-Aqaba as the next step in his career.

“Naturally, after a successful season, we are always in the spotlight, even if at home, it is difficult to catch the eye of the clubs in the Top 5 of the European championships,” he explained.

“I am delighted with this opportunity on Jordanian soil. I firmly believe that I made the best choice among the opportunities that presented themselves to me.”

His move to Shabab Al-Aqaba follows the club’s earlier signing of Abdou Rafikou Atakora, as they continue to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Abdoulahakim’s versatility as a midfielder and his strong defensive skills are expected to add depth and stability to the team.

As he looks ahead to his time in Jordan, Abdoulahakim is focused on making a positive impact and repaying the faith his new club has shown in him.

With his impressive track record in Togo, the midfielder is poised to take his game to the next level and make his mark in the Jordanian Pro League.
