Abdoulie Sanyang is being linked with a move from Hajduk Split to Belarusian side ML Vitebsk, with the Gambian winger’s future under growing scrutiny despite no clear indication of how likely a deal is to materialise.
The 26-year-old, currently valued at €1.50m, has emerged as a reported target for the Vysheyshaya Liga club, according to transfer data listing ML Vitebsk as a potential destination and marking the probability of a switch with a question mark. With no contract length publicly available at Hajduk Split, speculation also extends to whether Sanyang could ultimately become available as a free agent if no agreement is reached over a transfer fee.
Sanyang only joined Hajduk from Grenoble Foot 38, where his market value fluctuated between €1.5m and €600,000 during his spell in France’s Ligue 2. At Hajduk, his valuation has recovered to €1.50m following a rise from €700,000 over the course of 2025, suggesting his performances in Croatia’s SuperSport HNL have been closely watched by scouts beyond the region.
In tactical terms, Sanyang operates primarily as a right winger, cutting in from the flank on his preferred left foot. Standing at 1.73m and wearing the No 24 shirt for Hajduk, he offers pace and direct attacking threat, attributes that could appeal to ML Vitebsk as they look to add creativity from wide areas in Belarus’s top flight.
Born in Serekunda on 8 May 1999, Sanyang has followed a varied career path through several European leagues, including spells at Lommel SK and Beerschot VA in Belgium and Hebar Pazardzhik in Bulgaria before his move to France and, subsequently, Croatia. That experience across different competitions may be a significant factor in ML Vitebsk’s reported interest.
If a move to Belarus does materialise, it would mark another unusual step in Sanyang’s already nomadic career and could either relaunch his profile in a new market or test his ability to remain on an upward trajectory in European football.
