Abdoulaye Sanogo: Mali defender joins Al-Nasr from Difaa El Jadida
Mali centre-back Abdoulaye Sanogo has joined United Arab Emirates club Al-Nasr from Moroccan side Difaa El Jadida, completing a move to the UAE Pro League on 19 August 2026.
The 22-year-old defender has signed a contract with Al-Nasr running until 30 June 2029. Sanogo leaves Difaa El Jadida after one season with the Botola Pro Inwi club, having arrived from Mali side Djoliba AC in July 2025.
Sanogo made 24 league appearances for Difaa El Jadida during the 2025-26 campaign and scored once. He also played nine times in the CAF Champions League, featuring for a total of 810 minutes in the competition.
The move takes the Bamako-born defender into a new league after his time in Morocco. Sanogo is 1.87m tall and plays primarily as a centre-back, while his preferred right foot provides further detail about his defensive profile.
He joins Al-Nasr after establishing his recent senior experience in both domestic and continental competition with Difaa El Jadida. His record in the 2025-26 season included 33 appearances across the Botola Pro Inwi and CAF Champions League, with one goal.
Sanogo’s previous senior move brought him to Morocco from Djoliba AC on 19 July 2025. He now continues his career in the United Arab Emirates, where Al-Nasr compete in the country’s top division.
The transfer was completed on 19 August 2026, with Sanogo’s Al-Nasr contract set to run through June 2029.
