Abdoulaye Sané’s relationship with his club, Rennes, has become strained, and the situation appears far from ideal. The 21-year-old Senegalese player has fallen out of favor with coach Philippe Montanier, who only fielded him 15 times in the previous season.
Despite being selected for the national team by coach Alain Giresse, who believes in his potential, Sané’s prospects at Rennes seem limited. Several clubs in the Belgian Championship have shown interest in the young player.
Sané joined Rennes in 2011 from AS Douane, and his initial season with the club’s CFA 2 team was promising, scoring 14 goals in 23 matches. However, his current situation suggests a potential loan move for the upcoming season as he seeks more playing time elsewhere.
