Abdoulaye Samassa, the talented 25-year-old central defender of Malian descent, is poised to make a significant move to the Moroccan Botola Pro. Having recently celebrated his 25th birthday on January 24, Samassa, who spent the previous season with the Paris SG reserve team, is now exploring the prospect of joining Sporting Club Chabab Mohammédia (SCCM).
The Moroccan top-flight club has reportedly extended an enticing offer to Samassa, proposing a two-year contract with an additional option, according to insights obtained by Africafoot.
The negotiations between the player and SCCM have reached an advanced stage, with Samassa having already participated in several training sessions with the club.
Presently unattached to any contractual obligations, the Malian defender is carefully evaluating the terms before making a final decision.
Abdoulaye Samassa’s football journey has seen him undergo formative training at Cosmos Saint-Denis from 2008 to 2014, followed by a stint at the Paris Training Center from 2014 to 2015.
Subsequent stops included US Créteil-Lusitanos (2015-2016), Dijon Côte d’Or (2016), US Saint-Denis (2016-2017), and Évreux FC 27 (2017-2020).
His career also featured a period with Angers SCO B in 2002. Samassa’s latest chapter saw him join the Parisian giants, Paris Saint-Germain, in the winter of 2023 as a free agent.
As the promising defender contemplates this prospective move to Chabab Mohammédia, it signals an exciting chapter in his career and adds a fresh dimension to the evolving landscape of African football.
