Abdoulaye Diaby: Hyeres 83 sign experienced attacking midfielder on free transfer
Abdoulaye Diaby has joined Hyeres 83 from US Creteil on a free transfer, with the 31-year-old attacking midfielder completing his move on 6 July 2026.
The French-born player, who also holds Ivorian nationality, arrives after a short spell at Creteil, which he joined in January 2026 from EFC Frejus Saint-Raphael. Diaby operates primarily as an attacking midfielder, is right-footed and stands at 1.83m, adding height and experience to Hyeres 83s options between midfield and attack.
Diabys move continues a long career in French footballs lower tiers, where he has represented a series of clubs across the country. Before his time at Creteil, he spent the 202425 season with Frejus Saint-Raphael following a switch from Thonon Evian Grand Geneve, having previously played for Olympique d’Ales en Cevennes and Canet Roussillon.
Earlier in his senior career, Diaby had spells with Trelissac, Sporting Club Setois and Limoges, building a profile as an attacking midfielder with extensive experience at semi-professional and professional level. He began his pathway in youth football with AS Montferrand and Paris FCs under-19 side before moving into the senior game.
Born in Noisy-le-Grand on 11 November 1994, Diaby now links up with Hyeres 83 as they reshape their squad for the 202627 campaign, adding a seasoned midfield option with a long track record in the French game.
Diabys arrival is registered for the 202627 season, confirming him as the latest addition to Hyeres 83s first-team squad.
