Abdoulaye Cissé, the Burkinabe international and prolific goal-scorer for the Egyptian club Zamalek, has decided to part ways with the club just one season after joining. The primary reason behind this decision is reported to be the financial aspect, as Cissé revealed that he has gone seven months without receiving his salary.
In an interview over the phone, Cissé stated, “I broke my contract with Zamalek on July 1. I will not play for the club again.” Despite being a key contributor to Zamalek’s success this season with 11 goals, Cissé has chosen to explore other opportunities due to the financial difficulties he faced at the club.
As of now, Cissé is in Abidjan, and he is actively discussing potential moves with his agent. While confirming that he has received contacts from other clubs, he emphasized that nothing concrete has been decided yet, and discussions are ongoing.
