Abdelrahman Rashdan has completed a permanent move from Ahly SC to fellow Egyptian Premier League side Pharco FC on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs from 2026-02-08 to 2029-06-30. The 23-year-old centre-back joins his new club with an estimated market value of €100k and leaves one of Egypt’s most storied sides to pursue regular top-flight football.
The deal keeps Rashdan in the Egyptian Premier League, with Pharco securing a defender who operates primarily as a centre-back and is listed as a defender – centre-back by trade. The transfer marks a significant step for both player and club, with Pharco adding depth and youth to their back line without paying a fee, while Ahly SC allow a homegrown product to move on permanently after a series of internal moves and loans.
Rashdan’s switch to Pharco FC follows a busy few seasons within the Egyptian system. After progressing from Wadi Degla FC’s youth setup into their senior team and then into Wadi Degla FC U21, he moved to El Ahly Cairo U21 before stepping up to Ahly SC’s first-team ranks. In between, he spent time on loan at Modern Sport Club in the Egyptian Premier League, returning to Ahly SC when that loan expired and then moving on again.
His transfer history underlines a career already marked by frequent movement within Egypt’s top tier and its developmental teams. From Wadi Degla’s youth side to their senior squad, from there to El Ahly Cairo U21, then up to Ahly SC and out on loan to Modern Sport Club before finally landing at Pharco, Rashdan has accumulated experience across several Egyptian clubs and levels. Each move has kept him within the same domestic league structure, further embedding him in the Premier League in Egypt.
Born on 01 Jan 2003 and holding Egyptian nationality, Rashdan now arrives at Pharco FC at an age where consistent minutes could accelerate his development. His market value trajectory also reflects a player on the rise: after earlier lower valuations while without a club and at youth level, his worth increased significantly during his spell at Modern Sport Club, eventually settling at €100k ahead of this latest move.
The free-transfer nature of the deal raises the possibility that, had Pharco not stepped in, Rashdan could have faced a spell as a free agent, particularly given that his previous contract details at Ahly SC are not listed. Instead, Pharco have secured him on a multi-year agreement, removing that uncertainty and giving both parties stability.
For Ahly SC, the departure of a defender with first-team and loan experience frees up a squad spot and wage space, while for Pharco FC, the signing represents a calculated investment in a young central defender with top-flight exposure. With his contractual future now settled until 2029-06-30, Rashdan enters the next phase of his career aiming to convert his domestic experience and growing market value into a regular role at the heart of Pharco’s defence in the Egyptian Premier League.
