Abdelmajid Barnaki has been officially elected as the new president of Wydad Athletic Club, succeeding Saïd Naciri, during a delayed general assembly that extended from Thursday evening into the early hours of Friday, which turned into an extraordinary assembly.
During the assembly held at a hotel in Casablanca, Barnaki received 81 votes from the club members, while 3 members abstained from voting.
The election of the new president marks a significant moment for Wydad Athletic Club, one of Morocco’s most renowned football clubs.
Barnaki’s appointment comes amid a period of transition for the club, with expectations high for the new leadership to navigate the challenges ahead and guide the team to continued success.
