Mohamed Abdel-Monsef, the goalkeeper coach for Zamalek, has expressed the need for the services of Mohamed Sabri, despite the board’s decision to offer him for sale due to violating instructions.
Speaking on MBC Masr, Abdel-Monsef stated, “Sabri is a great goalkeeper with good abilities, and I trust in his capabilities.
However, he lacks experience and needs to learn how to deal with the audience.
The team requires his services in the upcoming period.”
Regarding the possibility of signing a new goalkeeper, he commented, “I requested Ahmed Shobier (former Al Ahly player) to sign his son Mustafa because he is a great goalkeeper.
I believe he represents a significant future in Egyptian football, plus he is talented.
However, Shobier refused, confirming that his son is loyal to Al Ahly.”
He added, “I hope that Zamalek will sign Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s star, one day because I see his inclination towards Zamalek.
He possesses great abilities, a renowned name, and an impressive history.
So, what prevents him from joining Zamalek before his retirement?”
Continuing, Abdel-Monsef revealed, “Zizo rejected numerous offers, some reaching $10 million, to continue with Zamalek.
It’s challenging to replace such a player on the field; he is a distinctive and hardworking player who genuinely loves Zamalek.”
“In the event of Zizo’s sale and departure from Zamalek, I believe Mustafa Fathi is the most suitable replacement.
He is an important player in the attacking line who makes a difference.
Additionally, Ramadan Sobhi, a Pyramids player, is good and there’s speculation about the possibility of him joining Zamalek,” he concluded.
The revelations by Abdel-Monsef provide insights into the ongoing dynamics and considerations within Zamalek as they navigate player transfers and strategize for the future.
