Abdallah El-Said guides Juan Alvina after Zamalek victory over Modern Sport
Abdallah El-Said showed his leadership once again as he guided his new teammate Juan Alvina after Zamalek’s hard-fought 2-1 win against Modern Sport in the Egyptian Premier League.
The match, played yesterday at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia, saw Zamalek take control early. Brazilian forward Juan Alvina put his mark on the game with a fine strike in the 12th minute, sending Zamalek fans into celebration. Angolan attacker Chico Banza doubled the lead shortly after the restart in the 48th minute, giving the White Knights breathing space.
Modern Sport pulled one back through an unfortunate moment in the 58th minute when Mahmoud Hamdi El-Wensh mistakenly turned the ball into his own net, but Zamalek held firm until the final whistle.
According to Kooora, El-Said, respected as one of the most experienced players in Egyptian football, spoke to Alvina after the match. He advised the winger to keep calm while celebrating goals, reminding him that removing his shirt could lead to costly yellow cards and possible suspensions in future games.
