Abbey Junior Seseane leaves Magesi FC after salary-cut disagreement
Soccer Laduma reports that winger Abbey Junior Seseane is searching for a new club after ending his time with Magesi FC.
Seseane and Magesi, also known as Dikwena tsa Meetse, reached an agreement to part ways this week. The move follows a disagreement over a proposed reduction in the player’s salary after Magesi’s relegation.
The decision leaves Seseane without a club following a season in which he made 25 appearances for Magesi across all competitions. He is now among several players to have departed the Limpopo-based side in recent weeks.
“The two parties have agreed to terminate after Seseane did not agree to a salary cut after the team was relegated,” said our source.
Seseane’s representatives, P Management, have chosen not to comment on the circumstances surrounding the termination at this stage. Magesi have also declined to comment.
The winger’s departure is the latest in a series of changes at the club following relegation. Attacking midfielder Kgomotso Mosadi is another recent exit from Magesi, with the player having since joined Orbit College.
Unlike Seseane, Mosadi’s next destination has already been confirmed, while Seseane is still looking for a new home after the two parties agreed to end their association.
His 25 appearances last season made him part of Magesi’s campaign across domestic competitions, but the club’s relegation has led to discussions over playing budgets and salaries. Those talks ultimately resulted in Seseane’s exit after he did not accept the proposed reduction.
Neither the player’s management team nor Magesi has provided an official public explanation beyond the position cited by Soccer Laduma’s source. For now, Seseane’s next move remains undecided as he assesses his options following his departure from the Limpopo club.
The winger’s exit and Mosadi’s move to Orbit College underline the early movement among Magesi players after relegation. Seseane is therefore the latest member of the squad to leave, with his representatives expected to consider potential opportunities elsewhere.
