Amine Harit urges fans to support Marseille
Moroccan international Amine Harit, who plays for French football club Olympique de Marseille, has called on the team’s supporters to rally behind them in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Benfica next Thursday.
Harit urged the Marseille fans to support the team during the upcoming match in the European tournament, aiming to secure a victory and clinch a spot in the semi-finals despite the defeat to Benfica in the first leg with a score of two goals to one.
The Moroccan player expressed optimism about advancing in the return leg, especially since the fans would be present in force, providing moral strength to the squad to achieve qualification for the semi-finals.
“We cling to our hopes of qualifying. Our away goal against Benfica is important for us.
We will try to press from the start in the return match, and we are confident that our fate is in our hands,” Harit stated.
He added, “It’s positive for us to play the return match at the Vélodrome. The atmosphere will be electrifying because we know the strength of our fans in pressuring the opponent.
It’s not a positive result because we lost, and we would have preferred to win, but this result keeps us alive.”
Harit concluded, “We have to deal with injuries, suspensions, and unqualified players every week.
We will keep our heads held high in this challenging season, and I promise the fans qualification.”
