It’s indeed heartbreaking news for Spanish football. Tragically, several young players and their coach lost their lives in a devastating accident.
While returning from a match on Thursday evening, four young footballers aged 10 to 13 and their coach were killed in a road collision in the south of the country.
The bus they were traveling in collided with an excavator near the town of Castuera, in Extremadura, resulting in 13 injuries, 11 of which are serious.
“A loss is always a tragedy, but it strikes even deeper when it involves such young children,” expressed the president of the regional government of Extremadura to COPE radio following the heartbreaking incident.
