FC Barcelona is poised for a significant overhaul at the end of the season following a trophy-less 2013-2014 campaign. According to Catalan press reports, the club’s leadership is planning a major revamp of the squad to prepare for the upcoming season.
Thirteen players are expected to be affected by this restructuring. Among them are Cesc Fabregas and Cameroonian midfielder Alexandre Song. Additionally, Daniel Alves, Adriano, Pedro, Javier Mascherano, Alexis Sanchez, Cristian Tello, Jonathan dos Santos, Ibrahim Afellay, Isaac Cuenca, Sergi Roberto, and Oier Olazábal could also depart from the Blaugrana club.
However, Barcelona has no intention of parting ways with nine key players deemed essential to the team. These players include Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., Gerard Piqué, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Martin Montoya, and Marc Bartra.
