Paul Pogba, the highly coveted talent sought after by all major European clubs, has long been admired by Zinedine Zidane, who openly praises the French midfielder of Guinean descent. Real Madrid, in particular, has set its sights on Pogba, viewing him as a potential successor to Xabi Alonso.
In efforts to lure the 21-year-old international midfielder from Juventus Turin, Zidane, now assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, reportedly took personal initiative by reaching out to Pogba directly via phone. According to reports from France Football, Zidane also made a swift call to Antonio Conte, his former teammate at Juventus and the current coach of the club, to gauge the situation surrounding Pogba’s potential transfer.
Despite facing resistance from Monaco, Zidane is determined in his pursuit of Pogba. Juventus, on the other hand, appears resigned to the idea of parting ways with their prized asset, albeit for a substantial financial compensation estimated to be between 40 and 50 million euros.
