Raja Club Athletic advances to Throne Cup quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory
Raja Club Athletic has secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Throne Cup for football after defeating Chabab Mohammedia 1-0 on Sunday at the El Bachir Stadium.
The 42nd minute marked a pivotal moment in the match as Raja’s right-back, Youssef Belaamri, opened the scoring, ending the first half with a slim lead for the green side.
In the second half, Raja focused on ball possession and avoiding hasty decisions, given their lead in the scoreline, while Chabab Mohammedia struggled to assert dominance.
Neither Chabab Mohammedia nor Raja Club Athletic managed to find the back of the net throughout the encounter, resulting in a victory for the Casablanca-based team.
It’s worth noting that Raja Club Athletic will face Hassania Agadir in the quarterfinals of the same competition, with Hassania Agadir securing their spot after defeating USM Oujda.
