The Mauritania national football team, known as the Mourabitounes, has arrived in Mauritius for the second leg of the CAN 2015 qualifiers. After stopovers in Dakar, Senegal, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the team landed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport near the capital at 06:50 UT on Thursday morning.

Upon their arrival, the team proceeded to Curepipe, the second city of Mauritius, where the upcoming match will take place on Sunday.

Initially, there were concerns as the Mauritanian Ministry of Sports had hesitated to cover the travel expenses of the national team. However, the team’s arrival brings a sense of relief, especially after their 1-0 victory in the first leg.
