The third and final phase of ticket sales for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which commenced on Tuesday at noon via Fifa’s website, has sparked tremendous enthusiasm among fans. Within just four hours of the launch, a staggering 126,837 tickets out of the available 199,519 were snapped up, much to the surprise of Fifa.
These sales figures add to the substantial number of tickets already sold during the initial two phases, totaling nearly 2.57 million tickets. Notably, Brazilians have shown significant interest, with 63.4% (80,496) of the recently purchased tickets being reserved by local fans.
With such overwhelming demand, the governing body of world football can now rest assured regarding ticket sales for the upcoming World Cup.
