Younes Belhanda, who transferred to Dynamo Kyiv in July 2013 for a reported amount of 11 million euros, might be on the verge of returning to his former club, Montpellier. This unexpected turn of events is due to Dynamo Kyiv’s failure to fully pay the agreed-upon transfer fee of 8 million euros.
Montpellier President Louis Nicollin revealed that the Ukrainian club has not fulfilled its payment obligations, prompting Montpellier to take action by alerting UEFA. As a result, Belhanda’s return to Montpellier and subsequent sale to another club has become a possibility. Alternatively, if Belhanda is willing to accept a reduced salary, he could potentially play for Montpellier again.
It’s worth noting that there have been rumors linking the Moroccan international to Marseille (OM) as a potential replacement for Mathieu Valbuena.
