The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) has announced the lineup of sports for the 2nd African Youth Games (JAJ). The event is set to take place in Gaborone, Botswana, from May 22 to 31, 2014. The selected disciplines include:

- Wrestling
The opening of the games village is scheduled for May 20, 2014. Additionally, Algeria has been designated as the host country for the 3rd African Youth Games in 2018.
