Mariano Barreto’s future as the coach of the Ethiopian national football team seems imminent, according to reports from Afrik – foot. It appears that the Portuguese coach has reached an agreement with the Ethiopian Federation.

Having previously coached the Ghana Black Stars from 2003 to 2004, Barreto is set to succeed Sewnet Bishaw, who was dismissed by the Ethiopian Federation in February 2014 following the CHAN 2014 tournament.
