Samuel Boadu, the current coach of Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea, has set his sights on a lofty ambition: leading the Ghana Black Stars national team. While Boadu has only recently taken the reins at Berekum Chelsea, he harbors aspirations of guiding the country’s premier football squad.

Assuming his role at Berekum Chelsea on March 5, Boadu has faced the immediate challenge of steering his team to success.

Despite early setbacks, he remains determined to elevate the club’s performance, viewing it as a crucial stepping stone towards achieving his dream of coaching the Black Stars.

“In an interview, he pledged to turn things around because it should help him realize a dream,” said Boadu, emphasizing his commitment to improving Berekum Chelsea’s fortunes as a means to demonstrate his capabilities for higher leadership roles.

Expressing his ambition succinctly, Boadu stated, “I want to lead the senior national team, the Black Stars, like any other coach.”

However, he also acknowledged that the realization of this goal hinges on his performance with his current club.

Since assuming his position at Berekum Chelsea, Boadu has overseen four matches, achieving a mixed record of one victory, one draw, and two defeats.

While the club currently occupies 4th place in the standings, Boadu remains focused on maximizing their potential in the remaining fixtures of the Ghanaian first division championship.

With 11 matchdays still to play, Boadu’s tenure at Berekum Chelsea serves not only as an opportunity to hone his coaching prowess but also as a platform to showcase his capabilities for potential future leadership roles within Ghanaian football, including the prestigious position of coaching the revered Ghana Black Stars national team.
