Moussa Sow seems to have found his place both on and off the pitch in Turkey. Since his arrival at Fenerbahçe in 2012, the Senegalese striker has adapted well to his new environment. Not only has he become a senior player for his club, but he also feels comfortable practicing his religion, Islam.
He described how the call to prayer provides him with a sense of peace and helps him wake up in the morning. Sow emphasized the positive experience of practicing Islam in Turkey, highlighting the conducive environment for his religious practices.
Reflecting on his decision to join Fenerbahçe, Sow recalled initial skepticism from others but affirmed that he has found passion and fulfillment at the club. Despite warnings from fellow players like Issiar Dia, Sow believes that experiencing life at Fenerbahçe has been invaluable. He acknowledged the immense fanbase of the club, estimating it to be around 20 to 25 million supporters worldwide, and emphasized the widespread recognition of Fenerbahçe even when he’s in France.
Despite occasional challenges, such as the recent trip to Trabzonspor, Sow expressed his contentment and sense of belonging in Turkey, indicating that he has found a home both on and off the field.
